LazyWork Mode

What is LazyWork?

LazyWork simulates natural user activity to keep your system from going idle. It uses random mouse movements and scrolling to prevent sleep mode, screen savers, and idle timeouts.

How It Works

Activity Period: 20 secondsRandom mouse movements (10-150 pixels), curved Bezier paths, occasional scrolling
Rest Period: Configurable (default 5s)No activity during rest, resumes automatically after pause

Using LazyWork

  1. Click the user icon (top-right in GhostTask)
  2. Click "LazyWork ⏱" to toggle on/off
  3. Icon turns green when active
  4. Adjust rest period by typing seconds directly
  5. Default: 20s activity → 5s rest → repeat

Best Use Cases

  • Long downloads or uploads
  • Video rendering or processing
  • Remote desktop sessions
  • Watching content without interaction
  • Any time you need to appear active

Safety & Behavior

  • Never interrupts your actual mouse usage
  • Works in background, completely non-intrusive
  • 70% cursor movement / 30% scrolling ratio
  • 15% chance to skip an action (looks more human)
